What's in a name?

[se-ren-dip-i-tee] "The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident."

As a child Catherine would create with any medium she could find... always looking for a creative outlet. From pencil to paint...always dabbling in one form of art or another with words and vision. Even as a 10 year old...she had her nose in the latest decor and fashion magazine. Catherine picked up her first copy of Martha Stewart living when she was 12 and was in awe of all of the images...from that day forward she knew that design in any shape or form was what she wanted to do.

Catherine always loved parties, sugar arts and paper. Her mom instilled that love in her at a wee age. She would craft up fabulous cakes for her and her two sisters from Sesame street themes to Holly Hobbie....learning the tricks of the trade. Parties were a family affair and so was baking and cooking. The first party she ever saw designed by Martha Stewart was a little Barbie inspired party via her show. From that day forward she was smitten.

Over the years Catherine honed her skills working in her field of Graphic Design, illustration, web development, writing, social media and eventually freelance....Taking courses in Interior Design, Photography, Pastry and culinary arts along the way. By chance Catherine came across Amy Atlas Events...nothing prepared her for seeing the first glimpse of an Amy Atlas Dessert table. It was her personal love for creating her own childrens parties... that Serendipity Soiree was born...So you could say...by Serendipity!

Currently Catherine designs custom products on a commercial level from clothing lines to wall art and fabrics, interior design services as well as staging for her Real estate clients, social stationary for all of your special events, offering turnkey party planning services from creation to completion (will travel) and fashion/childrens illustrations.
